A meeting aimed at the exchanges of online teaching experience was organized by the administrative cadres of GUST at 512 meeting room of the administrative building of Nancheng campus on the morning of March 31st.
At the meeting, leaders of colleges of GUST reported the situation of online teaching. Vice President Li Cai believed that the meeting would help the teaching staff from different colleges learn from each other. Although there were some difficulties with online teaching, such as the pressure for teachers in the preparation of classes, and the fact that teachers were unable to monitor the on-hook phenomenon, etc..
Vice President Li Cai also emphasized that during online teaching, we should not only attach great importance to the quality of teaching, but also understand and try our best to help tackle with the difficulties of teachers, and we should work with the counselors to complete the psychological counseling of students, too.
The outbreak of COVID-19 has brought difficulties to the work of teaching staff as well as students of the university, however, all teachers and students united and had overcome the difficulties. It was also emphasized at the meeting that administrative cadres must try to understand teachers’ difficulties with patience and an open mind, explore the diversity of work patterns, and understand GUST’s principles accurately so that to reduce misunderstandings between them and teachers and complete work calmly.
