Recently, GUST has been authorized to award Bachelor's degrees in 5 new undergraduate programs, namely Translation, Machine Design and Manufacturing and Automation, E-commerce, Business Administration and Accounting. So far, GUST has been authorized to award Bachelor's degrees in a total of 23 undergraduate programs.
During the preparation of materials for the assessment of newly-added majors with bachelor’s degrees this year, the relevant functional departments of GUST worked closely with relevant colleges to carefully sort out and summarize our university's philosophy of running the school, different majors’ characteristics, curriculum systems, faculty construction and teaching management, etc. After several rounds of self-evaluation and expert evaluation both inside and outside the university, the detailed materials for assessment submitted by our school to the Department of Education of Guangdong Province have been affirmed by the experts of the Office of Academic Degree.
Up to now, there are 35 undergraduate programs in GUST, including 15 majors in engineering, 8 majors in management, 4 majors in economics, 4 majors in literature, and 4 majors in art. The number of majors has reached a reasonable range, and the discipline structure has been optimized.
