GUST’s President Liang Ruixiong and his delegation, including the Secretary of Party Committee of GUST Wu Nianxiang, GUST’s Executive Vice President Zhou Er’yong, GUST’s Vice President Liu Xi, GUST’S Vice President Li Cai and the Deputy Dean of the College of Computer Science of GUST Tian Liwei paid a visit to the headquarter of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Polytechnic as well as Shenzhen Xunfang Technologies Co., Ltd. on June 24 to deepen the understanding of the industry as well as the training school of the information and communication technology (ICT) of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and boost the construction of the ICT program of our university. Meng Lijin, Director of the Training & Certification Department of Guangdong Province of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Cai Xinlong, Manager of the Department of Education & Medical Treatment of Dongguan City of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Liu Minghao, Deputy Manager of the Department of Education of Shenzhen Xunfang Technologies Co., Ltd., Zhang Songbai, General Manager of Shenzhen District of Shenzhen Xunfang Technologies Co., Ltd. accompanied the visit.
At the exchange meeting, President Liang Ruixiong delivered a speech, in which he pointed out that GUST, as a private undergraduate university serving the economic construction of Dongguan City and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is accelerating the construction of deepening the integration of industry and education to promote the construction of new engineering disciplines. It is an excellent opportunity to deepen the construction of an application oriented university and to cultivate excellent engineers in ICT industry to make a contribution to the construction as well as the economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
After the exchange meeting, President Liang Ruixiong, along with his delegation, also visited the exhibition hall of the Huawei ICT College of Shenzhen Polytechnic, and got an in-depth knowledge of the whole process of talent cultivation of the joint College of Shenzhen Polytechnic and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., which would help our university better find a direction for the construction of the Huawei ICT College.
The visit was successfully concluded. Representatives of GUST expressed their hope that GUST, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Xunfang Technologies Co., Ltd. will further deepen communication and exchanges to jointly promote the next phase of the construction plan of the Huawei ICT college in our university.
