The Provincial Education and Working Committee of Southern China’s Guangdong province successfully held the 30th Study Forum of higher education institution on the afternoon of May 22, 2020. The meeting was held online via video broadcast.
Zhang Zhongde, the Standing Committee of the CPC and Vice President of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, the Vice President of Guangdong Hospital of Chinese Medicine and captain of the 2nd national medical team supporting the prevention and control work of the COVID-19 epidemic outbreak in Hubei province made a speech at the online conference. Our university held a parallel session of the conference at 512 meeting room of the Administration Building of Nancheng Campus of Guangdong University of Science and Technology (GUST). The Deputy Secretary of CPC and President of GUST Liang Ruixiong, GUST’s party member and president’s assistant Bi Huidong, secretaries of the CPC of colleges of GUST and leaders of relevant functional departments of GUST attended the meeting.
The meeting called for attention to conscientiously implement Suggestions on the Implementation of Regular Prevention and Control of COVID-19 in Guangdong province issued by the government of southern China’s Guangdong province and the grass-roots party organizations and party members should continue to play an important role in in the normalization of the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic. During the COVID-19 outbreak, teachers and students of GUST voluntarily donated to help the prevention and control of the outbreak in Hubei province, which was severely affected by the coronavirus.
