CASEE of Hangzhou Dianzi University recently issued the “Report on the Scientific Research Competitiveness of China’s Private Undergraduate Universities in 2019”, which shows that Guangdong University of Science and Technology (GUST) ranked 21st in the country and 1st in Southern China’s Gungdong province with a score of 47.1, B+, and GUST is the only private university in Guangdong province among the 32 universities which has obtained the score of B+ or above in the whole country. Thus GUST has been ranking 1st in Guangdong province for the ”Scientific Research Competitiveness of China’s Private Undergraduate Universities” for two consecutive years, which has given full affirmation to the scientific research competitiveness of our university.
According to the instructions about the ranking list by Professor Tang Jianmin from the CASEE of Hangzhou Dianzi University, the objects of the assessment of the “Report on the Scientific Research Competitiveness of China’s Private Undergraduate Universities in 2019” has included China’s current 161 private universities as well as 254 independent colleges (some jointly established higher education institutions by Chinese universities or colleges with foreign universities or colleges including the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, NYU Shanghai, Duke Kunshan University, Wenzhou-Kean University and Westlake University are not included in the assessment or the report). The report is issued annually and this is the eighth one.
