The “Second Job Fair of Famous and Good Enterprises of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entering GUST” was jointly hosted by GUST and https://www.bossyun.com successfully at the north gate square of Nancheng campus of GUST on Sept, 2020, which was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the normalized prevention and control of the coronavirus outbreak.
There were 163 high-quality enterprises of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area participating in this job fair, including Fortune 500 companies such as Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Alibaba Group, Midea Group, VIPSHOP, VANKE SERVICE, HAIER, Country Garden, listed companies as well as leading enterprises in the industry.
Job positions cover majors such as finance, management, foreign languages, design, computer science, mechanical design, etc., amounting to more than 3,000 positions, which attracted nearly 5,000 graduates of 2020 and 2021 of GUST.
The job fair was crowded with people. Graduates dressed in formal clothes held their curriculum vitae which were carefully prepared and actively communicated with recruiters from these enterprises about the recruitment requirements of employers. According to most of the graduates, this job fair gathered together high-quality companies in the Greater Bay Area, covering a wide range of industries, which satisfied their job demand. Looking confident, graduates lined up in front of the booths to apply for job vacancies.
GUST’s Party Secretary Wu Nianxiang, vice president Chen Biaoxin and school staff in charge of work of graduates’ employment came to the job fair to communicate with employers from these enterprises to learn more about the recruitment situation and needs of employers, and they also encouraged graduates to actively apply for jobs and provided graduates with guidance about applying for jobs on the spot.
Chen Biaoxin, vice president of GUST, stated that the orientation of running school of GUST is to build an applied innovation-oriented undergraduate university, which mainly cultivates high-quality applied innovation talents, serves regional economic development, and mainly serves enterprises in Dongguan City as well as the Greater Bay Area. This job fair has created a direct employment matching platform between high-quality enterprises of the Greater Bay Area and graduates of GUST, which has provided a platform on which graduates of GUST have been offered chances of seeking jobs in the Greater Bay Area.
