They also hoped that students can share the honors and development with GUST in the days to come and adhere to the school motto of “Virtue, Learning, Excellence and Conscience” and become a better self.
The opening dance "School Song of Guangdong University of Science and Technology" performed by the Youth Art Troupe of the Youth League Committee kicked off the show. The students of GUST showed their vitality through the dance and the campuses resounded with the music. The dancers smiled confidently, sending the freshmen the message that the goal would be reached no matter how difficult it seems, “In this place where kapok blooms, we sow hope of spring”. Let us start from today and raise the sail of our dreams and bloom the flowers of youth.
Throughout the party, the performers and staff showed the passionate youthfulness to the freshmen in a full spirit. Against the backdrop of the brilliant and bright colors on the stage, freshmen dressed in military uniforms sat upright under the stage, and the expectations and yearning for the future could not be concealed even when the light at the stage dimmed.
