The government-school-enterprise cooperation exchange meeting of GUST and the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Shipai Town of Dongguan City was held at the 305 Conference Room of No. 5 Teaching Building of Songshan Lake Campus on the afternoon of Nov. 5, 2020. Deputy director general Zhong Weiqiang and Xiao Xiaofen, director Huang Jiehong as well as representatives of 3 excellent enterprises from Shipai Town attended the exchange meeting, Xie Li, director of the school-enterprise cooperation office of GUST, Chen Zhihui, deputy dean of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of GUST, and teachers attended the exchange meeting.
Before the start of the meeting, leaders and representatives of enterprises visited the Songshan Lake campus under the guidance of an instructor, and gave high praise to the construction of the newly-built campus as well as the rapid development of the school.
At the meeting, Deputy director general Zhong Weiqiang of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Shipai Town of Dongguan City fully affirmed the significance of cooperation between schools and enterprises, and expressed that the government is very willing to support the in-depth cooperation between schools and enterprises to improve students' employment ability and quality. Then, Director Xie Li of the school-enterprise cooperation office of GUST introduced the basic facts of GUST and the related practices and results of school-enterprise cooperation.
After that, the representatives of the three excellent enterprises introduced the basic situation and talent needs of the companies, and put forward good suggestions for school-enterprise cooperation. Finally, the three parties discussed and exchanged views on the process and forms of school-enterprise cooperation.
