As a world-class city cluster, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area) is one of the most open and economically dynamic regions in China. The preparatory meeting of the Association of the Industry and Education of the Greater Bay Area was held at the 512 conference room of GUST’s Nancheng campus on Nov 25.
Liang Ruixiong, Director of Nanbo Group as well as president of GUST, attended the meeting and delivered a welcome speech. On behalf of Nanbo Group, he welcomed representatives from enterprises from the Greater Bay Area and said that GUST will make full use of the integration of production and education as the starting point to fully serve the development of the Greater Bay Area.
Tencent Education, DJI Technology, Midea Group, TCL Group, HKUST Xunfei Group, Dongshi Group and other enterprises, as well as the Guangdong Provincial School-Enterprise Cooperation and School-School Cooperation Promotion Association, Dongguan City E-commerce Federation and other industry associations, a total of 32 school-enterprise units’ representatives attended the meeting, which was chaired by Chen Biaoxin, general manager of Guangdong Bosiyun Science & Education Technology Co., Ltd.
The meeting discussed and voted through the "Articles of Association of the Industry and Education of the Greater Bay Area (Draft)" and the "Proposal", and discussed the candidates for the association's chairman and secretary general. The meeting decided to hold the inaugural meeting of the Association of the Industry and Education of the Greater Bay Area on Dec 19.
The Association of the Industry and Education of the Greater Bay Area was initiated and established by well-known enterprises, universities, vocational colleges, technical schools, scientific research institutions, and industrial as well as social organizations in the Greater Bay Area under the guidance of the College Graduate Employment Promotion Association of Guangdong Province. On the basis of cooperation and win-win, in-depth exploration of the mode and method of integrated development of industry and education, it aims to play a leading and exemplary role, as an important platform for promoting regional talent development and sharing resources of industry and education. The purpose of the association is to make full use of the resources of the government, universities, industries, and enterprises to innovate the mode of talent training, promote the integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, promote resource sharing, mutual benefit and win-win, collaborative innovation among the members of the association, and better serve the economic and social development of the Greater Bay Area as well as cultivate a large number of high-quality talents for the socialist modernization.
