The 6th Guangdong University Students Art Exhibition hosted by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province came to an end, in which 10 works stood out of the 20 ones submitted by the Youth League Committee of GUST and were evaluated by experts. Among them, 5 works were selected to participate in the exhibition, making outstanding achievements of 1 first prize, 5 second prizes and third prizes respectively.
The exhibition was launched in December, 2019. After a year of appraisal at various stages, the final review of the art performance was held at South China University of Technology on December 6, 2020. The evaluation items of the performance are divided into four categories: art performance, college student art practice workshops, art works and excellent reform and innovation cases of aesthetic education in universities. The art performance category received a total of 332 programs, and the art work category received a total of 799 art works. The competition was extremely fierce.
GUST has constantly strengthened the creation and cultivation of campus culture and art works since its Youth League Committee selected works to participate in the 2nd University Student Art Achievement Exhibition of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and 2 outstanding works were awarded in December, 2019. The cultivation as well as the preparation work of a total of 26 literary and artistic programs which covers the areas of vocal music, dance performance, skits, and fine arts was initiated at the beginning of 2020. Through online and offline mobilization, a large number of teachers and students actively participated and the number of works as well as the number of the participating teachers and students have reached a new high. After on-campus selection, 20 works were submitted while 10 of them were awarded in the 6th Guangdong University Students Art Exhibition, which shows that the award rate has reached 50%.
