GUST held a grand signing ceremony with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Xunfang Technology Co., Ltd. and formally signed an agreement to jointly build the Huawei ICT (information and communications technology) Academy and the New Generation Information Technology Industry Academy on the afternoon of Dec 28.
Jiang Lin, Director of the Higher Education Division of the Education Department of Guangdong Province, Zeng Li, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Dongguan Songshan Lake High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Yao Zhurui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Dongguan Department of Industry and Information Technology as well as the Director of the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises, Deng Baisong, Deputy Director of Dongguan Education, Meng Lingjin, Director of Guangdong Talent Development and Talent Ecology of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Dai Yi, Chairman of Shenzhen Xunfang Technology Co., Ltd., Liang Ruixiong, President of GUST, Wu Nianxiang, Secretary of the school party of GUST, Zhou Er’yong, Executive Vice President of GUST, Chen Biaoxin, Vice President of GUST, Bi Huidong, assistant of the president of GUST, Li Bing, Director of the Office of Academic Affairs, Tian Liwei, Dean of the School of Computer Science and other leaders attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Li Cai, Vice President of GUST.
Huawei ICT Academy will select no less than 150 from the students of the School of Computer Science of GUST enrolled in 2019 to form the first training class. The school-enterprise joint training will be initiated from September, 2021. In the future, the three parties will jointly integrate the ecological resources of the ICT Academy to build a bridge for communication between the university, students and enterprises, strive to deepen the integration of production and education and cultivate outstanding ICT talents to serve the society as well as the global economy.
