The Staff and Teachers’ Conference of the Spring Semester of 2021 was held successfully on Feb. 27, 2021. Leaders of GUST, including President Liang Ruixiong, Secretary of the school’s Party Committee Wu Nianxiang, Executive Vice President Zhou Er’yong, Vice President Sun Jian, Vice President Li Cai, Vice President Zhao Huihua, Assistant to the president Bi Huidong, together with school’s over 1,500 staff attended the meeting, which was presided over by Executive Vice President Zhou Er’yong.
The main venue of the conference was set in the lecture hall on the 7th floor of the library of Nancheng Campus, of which there were a total of 16 branch venues on the dual campuses, namely Nancheng Campus and Songshan Lake Campus.
At the conference, Secretary Wu Nianxiang read out the "Decision on Commending Outstanding Staff of the Year 2020", and President Liang Ruixiong delivered a work report entitled "Deepening the Connotation, Condensing Features and Steadily Promoting the Construction of A High-level Applied Innovative University", and Executive Vice President Zhou Er’yong made a speech, in which he made arrangements on key tasks for the period of the beginning of this semester.
In his report, President Liang Ruixiong comprehensively summarized the work of the school of the year 2020 from 18 aspects, which included the epidemic prevention and control, the construction of school’s party committee, the construction of disciplines, the reform and achievements made in the teaching quality, the industry-school-research cooperation, the administration of student work, the administration of graduates’ employment as well as entrepreneurship. He pointed out that the faculty and staff of the school have worked hard and made gratifying achievements in all aspects in 2020 under the correct leadership of GUST. He also pointed out that the year 2021 marks the first year of the 14th Five-year Plan as well as the year of deepening connotation for GUST. GUST will strive to achieve the overall goal of further enhancing the capability of running the school and continuously improving the quality of education.
