Cuaa.Net, a third-party evaluation and consulting research institution in China, officially released university rankings in China on Mar. 25, 2021. In the “Ranking of Private Universities and Colleges in China in 2021”, GUST scores 98.20 and ranks among universities which are scored 6 stars, and ranks among the "Top Private Universities in China" for the first time.
Guided by the development strategy of the Double First-Class Initiative and enhancing the ability of universities to serve the country's local economic and social development, the evaluation index system of this ranking is composed of 12 first-level indicators, including ideological and political education, teaching quality, outstanding alumni, high-level talents, advantageous disciplines, scientific research achivements, scientific research projects, scientific research bases, social services, level of school-running, social reputationn and international influence. These are all authoritative and objective data which are publicly available from national authorities, third-party authorities, enterprises and institutions, news media as well as universities.
GUST has also achieved outstanding results in a number of rankings released by Cuaa.Net in recent years. In March, 2019, GUST ranked among the top five private universities in South China in the ranking of “Top 150 Private Universities in China in 2019” as well as private universities of 3-star level, and was awarded as a “Regional First-class Private University". And in July, 2020, in the ranking of "China's Top 150 Private Universities in Teaching Quality in 2020" released by Cuaa.Net, GUST ranks first among private undergraduate universities in Guangdong Province, and also first in the ranking of “Undergraduate Private Universities in Teaching Quality in Guangdong Province” for the very first time.
