GUST's 2021 Freshman Opening Ceremony & Opening Ceremony of Military Training was held on the Nancheng campus as well as the Songshan Lake campus on Sept. 14-15. Nearly 9,000 freshmen gathered in the ceremony in this beautiful season and are about to start their wonderful journeys of 4-year university life.
President Liang Ruixiong, Secretary of school Party Committee Wu Nianxiang, Executive Vice President Zhou Er’yong, Vice President Wu Liping, Vice President Chen Biaoxin, Vice President Sun Jian, Vice President Liu Xi, Vice President Li Cai, Vice President Zhao Huihua, Assistant of the President Bi Huidong, deans of secondary colleges, representatives of the teaching staff, representatives of graduates and about 9,000 freshmen attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Vice President Chen Biaoxin.
At the ceremony, President Liang delivered a speech, in which he reviewed the 18 years of development of GUST as well as the achievements it has made, and expressed his earnest expectations for the 2021 freshmen.
