Recently, the Ministry of Education released its 2016 undergraduate program registration and approval results of general higher education institutes ([2017]2). Guangdong University of Science and Technology (Hereinafter referred to as GUST) got four more undergraduate programs added to its list, which are Environment Design, Information Management and Information System, Electrical Engineering and Automation and Japanese. GUST is entitled to students enrollment of the four programs since the Autumn semester of 2017.
So far, the number of GUST’s undergraduate programs has reached 27, among which there are 12 engineering programs, 6 management programs, 3 economic programs, 4 literature programs and 2 art programs, making the programs of GUST more reasonable in quantity and more optimized in structure.
The undergraduate programs of GUST have great attractions to the students as they are better combined with the original resources of GUST and economic and social developing needs of Dongguan and Pearl River Delta, and aim at the emerging industries and advanced technology.
The final approval of these four programs demonstrates the increasing strength of GUST in running a school and provides wider choices for future students applying for GUST.
