Congratulations to GUST! Passing the Qualification Evaluation of Undergraduate Teaching

On August 23, 2018, a formal document listing 18 universities that pass the Qualification Evaluation of Undergraduate Teaching was released, and Guangdong University of Science and Technology (GUST) is one of them. From December 18 to 21, 2017, a group of 11 qualified evaluation experts of undergraduate teaching, led by professor YAN Xinping, former President of Chongqing University of Science and Technology, conducted a comprehensive and in-depth investigation on undergraduate teaching of GUST. The experts group fully affirmed the achievements made by GUST since the opening of undergraduate education, and believed that GUST has an accurate orientation and clear ideas of training; perfect corporate governance and orderly internal management; continually improving teaching conditions and consolidated teaching position; close industrial connection and solid professional construction; and emphasizing students’ growth, and paying great attention to the quality of teaching. Passing the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching by the ministry of education is another significant milestone for GUST after obtaining the right to grant Bachelor's degree. Following the experts’ suggestions, GUST will spare no effort in improving undergraduate teaching quality as well as highlighting student-centered and industry-oriented courses, to fight for the goal of nationally famous and influential private university of science and technology.
