GUST and Marco Polo Holding Co., Ltd. held a grand signing ceremony to formally sign a cooperation agreement of jointly establishing the Marco Polo Modern Decoration Industry Institute of GUST on the morning of Nov. 24. This is another industry institute established by GUST and the first one of art and creative industry.
Liang Ruixiong, President of GUST, Wu Nianxiang, secretary of the school Party committee, Zhou Er’yong, Executive Vice President of GUST, Wu Liping, Vice President of GUST, Li Cai, Vice President of GUST, relevant leaders of secondary colleges as well as administrative departments of GUST, Xie Yuezeng, CEO of Marco Polo Holding Co., Ltd., Chen Yuntian, Deputy General Manager of Marketing Center of Marco Polo Holding Co., Ltd. and several other leaders of important departments of Marco Polo Holding Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony. More than 200 representatives of teachers and students from the College of Art Design of GUST attended the event to witness this important moment. The signing and unveiling ceremony was presided over by Vice President Li Cai.
According to the agreement, GUST and Marco Polo Holding Co., Ltd., based on their core strengths, will deepen the cooperation of “industry, education and research” and cultivate high-quality applied and innovative talents who will adapt to and contribute to the development of modern industries.
The establishment of the Marco Polo Modern Decoration Industry Institute marks another solid step GUST has taken on the road of deepening the integration of production and education as well as school-enterprise cooperation. It will cultivate more applied and innovative talents for the development of modern decoration industry and regional economy.
