The 2021 Dongguan University Badminton Tournament officially kicked off at the Wan Kang Badminton Stadium in Dongguan City on December 11, 2021. The tournament was organized by the Guangdong Badminton Association and the Shanfeng Sports Training Base. GUST’s badminton team was led by Zhang Shujian and Guo Ruipeng, teachers from the Physical Education Department of the College of Public Courses of GUST. A total of 11 athletes, including Li Zhenhua, Zhang Zhuosheng, Lin Hua, Hu Zehao, Yuan Renfeng, Zhong Xiaodong, Yao Yuanhai, Lai Huahua, Guan Wanyi, Yao Yantong and Dai Yilin, participated in the tournament. In this year's competition, GUST’s badminton team fully demonstrated the aggressive and never-give-up spirit and the youthful vigor of students of GUST.
