On December 9-10, the 2021 Annual Academic Conference on Mental Health Education and Counseling of Universities and Colleges in Guangdong Province, sponsored by the Mental Health Education and Counseling Committee of Universities and Colleges in Guangdong Province, was held in Zengcheng, Guangzhou. More than 200 representatives of school leaders in charge of student affairs and full-time and part-time teaching staff in psychological programs from all universities and colleges in Guangdong province attended the conference, including Bi Huidong, Deputy Secretary of the school Party Committee and Assistant to the President of GUST, Zhu Ya, Deputy Director of the Department of Student Affairs and Director of the Mental Health Education and Counseling Center of GUST, Zhang Xiangrong, Deputy Director of the Mental Health Education and Counseling Center of GUST and other faculty staff of GUST.
The conference commended advanced collectives and advanced individuals that have made outstanding achievements in student mental health education and counseling in 2020-2021. After rigorous evaluation by the Committee, GUST was awarded the title of “Advanced Collective” for Mental Health Education and Counseling in Universities and Colleges in Guangdong Province in 2020-2021.
