The 2021 Annual Work Summary Conference of the Songshan Lake High-tech Zone of Dongguan was held on Jan. 24, in which the working committee of party and the management committee of the Songshan Lake commended the annual advanced enterprises, collectives as well as outstanding talents in the Songshan Lake Park. Guangdong University of Science and Technology was rated as one of the "Top 10 Enterprises in Fixed Asset Investment in Songshan Lake Park, Dongguan in 2021". Huawei ranked the first and GUST ranked the sixth.
GUST has been committed to serving the local economic development and centering on the key industries in Dongguan as well as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the GBA). The foundation of the eleven modern industrial schools of GUST is recognized as another big step forward in deepening the integration of production and education as well as education through school-enterprise collaboration.
The conference awarded 12 honors including "Top 10 Enterprises in Fixed Asset Investment in Songshan Lake Park, Dongguan in 2021", "Advanced Scientific Research Institutions in Songshan Lake Park, Dongguan in 2021". Huawei, China Spallation Neutron Source and the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory have been honored in the conference.
GUST will accelerate the in-depth integration of industry and education, and continuously improve the quality of school-enterprise collaboration in education, so as to cultivate high-quality applied and innovative talents who meet the needs of the development of modern industries in Dongguan and the GBA, and contribute to the reform and development of Dongguan.
