The subject of "2022 Evaluation of private and independent colleges & universities in China" chaired by Wu Shulian, head of the "Evaluation of colleges & universities in China " research group of the China Academy of Management Science, has been completed in April 2022. In the newly-released “2022 Wu Shulian Comprehensive Strength Ranking of Private Universities & Colleges in China”, GUST has risen from 42nd to 40th nationwide, and from 6th to 5th in Guangdong province.
A number of independent colleges or universities which have been converted into private ones have intensified competition among private colleges & universities. In recent years, GUST's comprehensive strength has steadily progressed, and its social reputation and influence have been continuously improved. Since 2022, GUST has made good news in many well-known third-party evaluation rankings.
