(Department of Student Affairs) To implement the spirit of the National Education Conference as well as the National Conference on the Ideological and Political Work of Colleges and Universities, and to promote the professionalization of student work so as to give full play to the exemplary role of advanced deeds of college and university instructors in the new era, Southern Instructor Forum in 2019 was held in Guangzhou on June 14th. Chen Zhongfang, Executive Vice Minister of Department of Student Affairs of GUST, Ma Chengxiang, an instructor of GUST and Su Wen, a member of Department of Student Affairs attended the forum. Ma Chengxiang, an instructor from College of Management was nominated for “Instructors of the Year 2018 of Colleges and Universities of Guangdong Province”, and Ye Zirong, an assistant of Department of Student Affairs of College of Foreign Languages, was awarded the prize of “Instructor Most Popular With Students”.
Department of Education of Guangdong Province sponsored the forum and leaders as well as representatives of instructors from colleges and universities attended the forum, and they are from different provinces, including Guangdong Province, Shandong Province, An’hui Province, Hunan Province and Hainan Province. During the forum, leaders and representatives of instructors also visited facilities construction of Ideological and Political Education Base for College and University Students of South China Agricultural University and exchanged advanced experience on ideological and political education of college and university students.
