(Department of Party Affairs) A cadre meeting was held at the meeting hall of 8th floor at the Administrative Building for the purpose of the announcement of appointing Secretary of CPC Committee of Guangdong University of Science & Technology(GUST) on the morning of Sep. 4.
Liao Ronghui, head of Organization Division of the Working Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee; Zheng Wen, head of Division of Higher Education of Department of Education of Guangdong Province; Liang Minshan, cadre of Organization Division of the Working Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee; Liu Dongfeng, Chief Executive of GUST; leaders of GUST, including LiangRuixiong, Zhou Er’yong, Liu Zhiyang, Sun Jian, Li Cai, Wang Yanbin, Zhao Huihua and Deng Zhixiong; middle-class leaders of GUST, secretaries of CPC committee of basic levels of GUST, research assistants of colleges and student working assistants attended the meeting, a total number of 74.
Liao Ronghui delivered the document of appointing Wu Nianxiang as Secretary of CPC committee as well as supervisor of GUST, made a speech which confirming the committee work done by GUST’s CPC committee, in which he made an introduction of Wu Nianxiang and expressed his requirements of the party construction work of GUST from 3 aspects.
Liu Dongfeng, on behalf of board of directors of GUST, made a speech, in which he expressed that he would unswervingly support the decision made by the Education Working Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and he also extended his gratitude for the concern as well as support from the Education Working Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee.
Liang Ruixiong, president and former secretary of CPC committee of GUST, on behalf of leaders, teachers and students, delivered a speech in which he said that he would unswervingly support the decision made by the Education Working Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, that he was appreciated for the years of trust from the board of directors of GUST, and that leaders of GUST would spare no efforts to help build GUST into a high-level application-oriented university.
Wu Nianxiang, secretary of CPC committee and supervisor of GUST, made a speech at the meeting. She expressed her sincere thanks to the trust and support from the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, and to GUST for the good opportunity to study and learn. She would abide by the laws and regulations, get along well with her new colleagues and fulfill her duty for a better future of GUST and the privately-run universities and colleges.
