Recently, the “Comprehensive Competence Rankings in the year 2019-2020——Rankings of Private Universities and Colleges ” issued by the Network of Science and Education Evaluation in China, our school ranked 40th with a total score of 75.83 and 2nd in Guangdong Province, only to the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.
The evaluation covered 2613 colleges and universities, including 973 general undergraduate colleges and universities, 155 private undergraduate colleges and universities, 261 independent colleges and universities, and 1379 higher vocational colleges (NYU Shanghai, Duke Kunshan University, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Israel Institute of Technology and the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences have not been included in this evaluation due to various special circumstances such as enrollment).
The evaluation was based on the easy data collection and authoritativeness and set four operational first-level evaluation indicators, namely: school conditions, teacher strength, science and education output and school reputation.
According to the website, in recent years, our school has been listed in the “Golden Apple” rankings of comprehensive competitiveness of private undergraduate colleges and universities. Our school ranked 5th in Guangdong Province and 54th in the country in 2018. In 2017, our school ranked 4th in Guangdong Province and 99th in the country. Based on the rankings in recent years, the comprehensive competitiveness of our school has been increasing year by year.
In addition, our school has scored more prominently in other categories of competitiveness rankings in recent years. For example, in the "2019 Chinese University Evaluation Research Report——College Entrance Examination for Voluntary Reporting Guide (Alumni Association Edition)" edited by Cuaa.Net, our school ranked among the top five private universities in South China among 150 Chinese private colleges and universities in the Alumni Association 2019 and won the reputation of “ regional first-class private university”.
The "Guangzhou Daily Application University Rankings in 2019" published by the Guangzhou Daily Data and Digit Institute(GDI Think Tank) conducted a scientific evaluation of 891 undergraduate colleges and universities(non-doctoral training institutes) in China, and our school ranked 351-400 in the country and 29th in Guangdong Province.
In September of this year, with the opening of Songshan Lake campus, our school's strength has been further enhanced, the comprehensive competitiveness has been significantly promoted, the discipline construction has made breakthrough, the scientific research strength has become stronger, the strength of the project is becoming obvious, and the party construction is comprehensive. Our school is moving towards the goal of becoming a high-level applied university.
