（College of International Education）Professor Yin Xieqi, Director of the Office of International and Cross-Strait Cooperation of Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU), came to Guangdong University of Science and Technology (GUST) for educational cooperation and exchanges on Nov 11.
The meeting was held in the meeting room 308 at administration building at Nancheng Campus in GUST and was attended by GUST’s Vice President Liu Zhiyang, Deputy Dean of College of Art Design Liu Yajun, Deputy Dean of College of Mechanical and Electrical Mo Fu, Assistant to Dean of College of Computing Huang Xinxin, and was presided over by Deputy Dean of College of International Education Huang Shuiping.
First, Vice President of GUST Liu Zhiyang gave a welcoming speech, in which he expressed his warmest welcome to Professor Yin Xieqi, made a brief introduction of GUST, analyzed the achievements made by GUST in international cooperation and exchanges in recent years, expressed his affirmation on the academic achievements made by LHU and hoped that more cooperation patterns would be achieved between the two universities through further strengthened communication as well as collaboration.
Then, Professor Yin Xieqi extended his thanks to the warm welcome of GUST and introduced LHU and its academic characteristics, and hoped that the two universities would deepened their cooperation and exchanges based on the current cooperation patterns.
At last, Deputy Dean of College of Art Design Liu Yajun, Deputy Dean of College of Mechanical and Electrical Mo Fu, Assistant to Dean of College of Computing Huang Xinxin made a speech respectively and discussed with Professor Yin Xieqi on the cooperation programs between the two universities.
It is known that LHU, founded in 1968 in Taiwan, is an excellent private university and has received funding from educational departments in Taiwan for 11 years in a row and has made academic achievements with characteristics.
