On April 26, Professor Chen Xianzhe, doctoral supervisor of the School of Education Science, Director of the Institute of Higher Education and deputy director of the Institute of Education Development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, was invited to give a lecture on "How to Improve the Success rate of Application of Social Science Projects". Wu Liping, vice president of GUST attended the training and made a speech. More than 70 teachers participated in the learning.
Professor Chen Xianzhe started from the three aspects of topic selection, design and demonstration. Combined with his own research experience, he analysed the topic selection of social science projects, as well as the writing of declaration and demonstration skills.
Professor Chen pointed out that the topic should be "hot with new", through "why do it", "why do it now" and "why you do it" to explain the problem, explaining the three essential elements of the topic: individual concern, practical concern, theoretical charm. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of literature review, using "copper wire", "silver wire" and "gold wire" to compare the characteristics of different reviews and share different levels of writing methods. He also provides writing ideas for the research methods, research ideas, research innovation and other important contents in the application, emphasizing the importance of the preliminary research basis, and sharing many valuable experiences of the application topics.
Vice President Wu Liping delivered a speech. She first expressed her thanks to Professor Chen and shared the situation of teachers applying for humanities and Social science projects of the Ministry of Education recently, pointing out that the number of applications has increased significantly compared with previous years. She once again emphasized that the university's current audit and evaluation and the construction of the master's degree awarding project are two key work objectives, marking the university's transition to teaching and research.
