The College of International Education(CIE) of GUST was founded in May 2012, and is directly affiliated to GUST. CIE’s major responsibilities lie in the cultural cooperation as well as exchanges, joint training and cooperation with institutions of higher education around the world. CIE is subdivided into 12 divisions, including the General Office, Office of Foreign Affairs, Office of Publicity, Office of International Students, Office of Chinese Teaching and Research, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Exchange, Office of European Exchange, Office of U.S. Exchange, Office of Asian Exchange, Office of Australian Exchange, International Exchange Service Center, and Intercultural Communication Center.
The development of higher education internationalization has promoted GUST’s active participation in diversified exchanges and cooperation programs of various types with universities all over the world at different levels including student exchange, double degrees, language training, short-term training, and has sent over 100 outstanding students of GUST to 30 universities from both home and abroad. In the list are famous institutions including University of Wisconsin Stout, U.S., Anglia Ruskin University, U.K., University of Wollongong, Australia, Concordia University, Canada, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Italy, Universitat de Barcelona,Spain, Shinhan University, South Korea, University of East Asia, Japan, Dhurakij Pundit University, Thailand, Taiwan Shu-Te University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Macau.
